Action week

Time to go to the beach

We travelled across the long itchy grass while holding our bright red house flag blowing in the wind. Koka Leah, a teacher at our school was videoing our house when we were marching down the sand . I gave the house flag to one of the other people in my house group and started spitting on to the sand. 123 321 that means stop look and listen. She told us to come in  to explain the next activite. I was so excited. She said that we had to make a sand culture of our house animal.

We got one minute to plan what our seagull is going to look like. We ask who was the best at drawing bird it was a bog called Roy he was so good. We got him to draw a big outline of a seagull. Yay hes done we came up with a plan to dig around the outline of it so it could really stand out. It took awhile to dig around but I think it was worth it.

Time to do the details. I wanted to do a fish in its mouth everyone else agreed to my idea. While some people worked on the fish other people decided to work on a baby seagull. The time was up we had to go in. We were quite sure we were going to win. I had a great feeling about this. Drum roll please Karoro and maina. Yayyyyyyyyyy.

We started walking back thought the long itchy. Still excited to get 200 points for our house group. Time for lunch yum.

Pihita station the cow

The cow

One sunny morning Moana syndicate went on a trip up to  Pihita station.  We went on a big bus.  My favorite bit was the cow station.

At the cow station we got to see the person that ran the cow station. She should us a cow and how you milk the cow.  We saw some whipped cream, chocolate milk, cheese, feta cheese, milk and cream. We got to make some butter. We all had a turn shaking the jar to make the butter.

It was so fun!
