Action Day Walk
Action Day
Yesterday 28th of september my class went on a huge walk, down scarlys way and through a gate and on to Murvs land. We walked down a really slippery hill to a stream it was knee deep. I tried to jump over but my foot slipped and I fell on my hands and got them super muddie. Someone from my class slipped and fell right into the water and got so wet.
We started walking, I got so hungry because we missed brain break. Our first stop was at 11.10 at a big tree. The break was only for 10 minute, there was so many bees and wasps on my food. When we keeped walking we got to a gate, the entrance of the gate was so muddy that my feet keep getting stuck.
As we walked through the gate we started to see so many calves and huge cows mooing at us. Out of all the calves I thought the orange ones were the cutest. Over the hill we saw lots of lambs and sheep getting chased by the cows. Yay we finally made it to half way and another lunch break. This lunch break was a little bit longer, it was like 20 minutes.
The sun finally came it was so warm. On the way back we got to the tree in like 10 minutes it was super fast but really muddy. When we got back to the river I was exhausted. The way there took way longer than it did on the way back. Instead of jumping over the river I just walked through and got my shoes soaked but it took some of the mud off. At the end of the day I had done 20,000 step and 14km. It was a big day.
Oh and I have gymnastics after school. THE END

Cross Country
Cross Country
Last Wednesday, Moana Syndicate ran their cross country. At 9.15 in the morning moana syndicate walked down to the sand dunes were cross country is held. The order of running is usually year 6 girls, year 6 boys, year 5 girls and then year 5 boys then the year 4's came down and ran their cross country. My goal for cross country was to run the whole way and to come in the top 5.
Take your marks set Go!! I ran of the starting line with a very bad start, I was nearly at the back of the group. My Mum was standing at the first corner taking photos and cheering for everyone. Year 5 girls ran to big laps of the track witch is 2km. As I came around for my second lap I was in 4th place with the 3rd place girl not to far in front of me.
Yay its the end and I came 4th place woo hoo. Lola came first, Betsy 2nd, Indie 3rd, Me 4th and then Zoe 5th. Lola and betsy were super close together the whole way around the cross country track, even at the end they were super close. At the end of the day I was super proud of myself for coming 4th place.
The End.

Trampoline tricks
Trampoline tricks
In lock down I've been learning super fun trampoline tricks like a back-flip,back-handspring and a back walkover. My favorite trick is a back-handspring, because you don't need to bounce, you just bend your knees and go over. I learnt how to do a back flip first and then a back handspring and then a back walkover. My dad taught my how to do a backflip and I taught myself how to do the other tricks.
Backflip
A backflip is like a front flip but instead of going forwards you go back. To learn, my dad hopped on the tramp with me and grabbed my t shirt and counted to 3 and helped me flip. This made it less scary to learn because I knew if I fell he would catch me. After a few times with dad holding me, I could do it by myself. In no time my brother could also do it!
Back handspring
A back handspring is like a back flip but you bounce lower and your hands touch the trampoline, and you flip over backwards. To learn how to do this trick I practised doing really low back flips and then started putting my hands down on the trampoline when I flipped over. I only learnt how to do a back handspring a couple of days ago so I will need to keep practising.
Back walkover
A back walkover is like a back handspring but no bounces and when you go over your legs are split. To learn how to do a back walkover I just did a back handspring with my legs split, and then did the exact same but with no bounces and then I did a back walkover. In no time you will be able to do all the tricks easy. Just keep practicing.

Lock down
Lock Down
Lock down has been really fun because you get to do online learning and online video chats which I really enjoy. My favorite online learning workshop is probably maths because it is super fun and exciting and I like getting the maths problems right. I think online learning is better than school learning because at school you always have to stop for food breaks and at home you can just eat while you're working. I also like it better because you can start your work at like 6 am in the morning and finish your days work early and then play for the rest of the day. Another reason lock down has been really fun is because our neighbour Cael is in our bubble so we always play with his walky talkys.
Today we went up to my papa's farm for the night and I thought it would be a good time to do my work out on the deck in the sun. I decided to do half of my blog in the morning and half of it at night. Out at the farm we played a game of cricket out on the lawn, and it was funny because my dog Tillie kept stealing the ball from the ground. After we played cricket we went for a drive to go get some firewood for the fire. Now we are just chilling and having dinner on our beds.
In lock down I taught my mum how to knit and now shes way better then me, we're aiming to make a blanket. So far we have about a quarter of a blanket done. My mum wants to finish the blanket before lock down is over. Mum doesn't know how to cast on yet so I always have to do it for her. Now that I got the hang of it it's really fun and addictive. I think this is now my mums favorite thing to do. This is definitely our lockdown project. This is what it looks like we still have a few pieces to connect to it.
