The one and only scariest Friday of my life

 The scary Friday

Waking up from a screeching sound, put a shock on my face! I was so scared to find out what the sound ment. I jump out of bed with a scared look on my face, I ran out the door to find my dad he looked shocked but he already knew what is was. A 7.4 earthquake. I couldn't  believe my eyes. Since it was a school day we always go to my mum's place at 7.00am in the morning. I was so scared, anyway when my brother and I got to Mum's place we right away wanted to tell her that we didn't wake up, when we told her she was kind of surprised and started laughing but I really didn't know why. She told me that they had to evacuate because they lived so close to the water that if there was a tsunami it could of hit us.

Time to go to school

We hopped in the car with a scared look on our face because we thought that we would have to evacuate and walk up the hill. I got to school, the morning went way faster than it usually does and that made me even more scared. Ding Ding the bell rang, that meant we had to come in side. Today I was really excited because we got to find out who house caption's are. We started the day of with a karakia then the teacher made us breath in, then breathe out, then breath in, and breathe out just so we could relax.  Koka Ngaire    made us a video of who the house caption's are and one of them was my friend Betsy, she is in Mango and she was super happy.

Before we even got to look at the whole video an alarm on Koka Rozie's phone went off, some people were so scared that the even started crying. Koka Rozie had to go check with Koka Nolian if it was real and if we had to go line up and it was real. Koka Pip made us go line up on the deck and walked up to our posts where the teacher counted all the kids. Luckily all the kids were there and Koka Nolian told us that it was just a drill and she just needed to tell us something so we went back to class to carry on with our work.

So we came back in to class and all the scared looks were wiped of our faces. The teachers decided to just let us do some work on our chromebooks. Then my mum and nana picked me up and took me home. As we started to arrive at home I was starting to get  really scared that I started crying. My whole family was so scared when they were watching the news. On the news we were watching the  tsunami up the coast. Me and my brother Jack were super scared that we just wouldn't stop crying. So we decided to go play outside. Even though I am still super scerd I am very happy that me and my family is safe.

The end
