Beach clean up

Beach clean up

Yesterday most of the class walked down to the surf club and back in a group of three with one bucket. We left school at 9.15 so we could get back to school just in time for brain brack. It is a competition in your group of 3 to see who can pick up the most rubbish on the way to the surf club and back.

Walking to the surf club

We started our walk to the surf club. At first we could not find any rubbish. By the time we got to the surf club we only had about 5 pieces of rubbish in our bucket witch was not a good sign for winning. We got to the surf club and we stayed there for a little so we can find lots of rubbish. We did not stay there for as long as I thought but we still found lots of rubbish in the river on the driveway and even by the rubbish bins.

Walking back to school

When we left the surf club we quickly stopped at hamanatua at walked up the walkway. At the top of hamanatua we found quite a lot of rubbish like cans plastic cups and plastic bags.We walked back along the road to school and we found a lot more rubbish in the gatters and in gardens. Before we knew it we were back to school. When we got back to school we put our buckets out the front by the gardens well we had brain break. And that was the end to our very fun beach clean up.

THE END
