Kapa Haka

 Kapa haka

Dingggggggggg the bell rings. Everyone is already and dressed in there Kapa Haka outfits the only thing left for us to do is get our photos done and our lipstick on and get our mokos on. OMG time has gone so fast its nearly time go. Our bus leaves at nine and it is already 8.50am. While we wait for our bus to get here we go back to class to get our earrings in. We go and line up on the deck in our class lines. On the way to kapa haka me and my friend  Betsy sat together on the way there. On the way there we started singing our kapa haka songs. We were so loud. Yay were there.

I lepted out of the bus so much excitement in me . We walked through the gates to go and  get our pew pews  on. When we got them on they were so loud and noisy. Our kapa haka started at 10.30am and it was 10.00am. We started practicing our songs but we had to be quite because the other schools were also practicing.

Time to go backstage. There was a man that was on the stage that was talking to the ordeins and how we were about to perform. It felt like he was talking for ages but finerley it was time for us to go on stage. I put my foot on the first step I heard a creak I hope that wasn't my dress I said to my myself. The man welcomed us on it was really embarrassing. we got in our positions and Martira called whakapiri we all came together and started singing our first song Atariki. The ordicice were cheering like crazy. I think they loved it.

When we finished the song they were so proud. we had microphones in front of us so we were very loud. When they stopped clapping Marita called neke atu and we all moved back out. Our next song was utaina We sang it through twice on the second round of it the girls moved back and the boys moved to the front.  Time for the Haka. The boys do two round of the haka with the girls singing at the back while doing the wiri wiri.  In the poe the girls move back to the front we do three rounds of it. On the third round the front row goes on there knees so the second row can be the spotlight.

The last song for the moana sindercite was wainui e, that was definitely my favorite song. For this song we also do two rounds of it like the haka. On the second round at the start of the song all the boys turned and left the stage then the forth row of girls then the third and on  the second to last veise finerley the second could go of. I was so happy because it was so embarrassing being up there in  front of all those people. We sang our school with our hole school it was so loud I think that was definitely the ordinances favorite song.

Beat day ever
